The lock nuts hexagonal with clamping part are completely made of stainless steel. The locknuts are designed as self-locking nuts and have an insert in the outer ring of the locknut which is equipped with a nylon clamping part. This clamping part of the locknut ensures that the self-locking nut can be screwed onto the thread and generates a high friction due to the nylon insert. This pressure, which is released by the clamping part of the locknut, prevents the nut from loosening unintentionally. In this way, a tight fit of the self-locking hexagon nut can be guaranteed. Locknuts made of stainless steel or steel are always used where components have to withstand shocks or fine vibrations and yet a tight fit of the locknut must be guaranteed.
