The shear nuts are completely made of stainless steel. Shear-off nuts are always used where detachable screw connections are to be fixed in such a way that the nut cannot be loosened again with tools. The shear nut is tightened and automatically tears off the head of the nut. The threaded piece is shaped in such a way that it is impossible to grasp the nut with a tool to open it again. These special nuts are usually only used in very special places which have to be secured against unauthorized persons.
